Subaru Forester Trim Levels
When choosing a Subaru crossover, you get the best of both worlds. Not only will you have high efficiency for suburban driving, you’ll also have tons of off-road capability. And the 2017 Subaru Forester takes this duality to new heights.
When Middletown, Odessa, and Dover drivers shop Forester, they’ll have six different Subaru Forester trim levels to choose from. If you’re not sure where to start, you may want to check out this handy trim review by the Winner Subaru team.
The 2017 Subaru Forester 2.5i
Starting off the 2017 Forester lineup is the 2.5i. This highly formidable model sets the standard for what the Forester can and should be. As for all trim levels past this point? Well, they’re just the icing on the cake.
Like all Subaru vehicles, the Forester 2.5i is an incredibly safe vehicle built with some uniquely protective features. Take the Subaru BOXER® engine for instance. Not only does it offer power and efficiency, its flat shape and low center of gravity also offer a huge safety benefit as it will drop below the passenger cabin during an accident.
In order to stay safely on course, the 2.5i has also been equipped with vehicle dynamics control and a traction control system, both of which boost gripping power on unfavorable roads.
Finishing off the safety array are features like the rear vision camera and daytime running lights, both of which help you to see and be seen while on the road.
Like we said, that 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER® engine is the full package. It can regularly generate 170 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque, making it a speedy, powerful option.
Add in the fully synchronized six-speed manual transmission, and the 2.5i has no problem maintaining 28 MPG highway and 22 MPG city.1
With such great specs, it’s no wonder that the Forester classifies as a partial zero emissions vehicle!
Part of what makes the Forester-or any Subaru, for that matter-so comfortable is the amount of space included. In total, passengers will have 10.3 cubic feet of space, with 41.4 inches of headroom and 43 inches of legroom just for drivers.
For cargo, you’ll have 34.4 cubic feet to work with, though under-floor storage has been included in the back, as well, so you can stow all your most important items.
As you settle into your cloth, six-way manually adjustable seat, you’ll have plenty of entertainment to choose from, starting with the four-speaker audio system and STARLINK™ 6.2. This suite includes a 6.2-inch touchscreen, and extra features like Bluetooth®, Pandora® radio, and HD Radio®.
