Fall Festivals in Kent County

There’s nothing quite like the fresh, crisp feeling of an autumn day, and nothing that’ll get you more excited for the season of colorful foliage, pumpkin spice lattes, and jack-o-lanterns than a trip to a fall festival. Bring the whole family along to one of these fun and festive events in Kent County this season, and you’ll be brought back to the hayrides and pumpkin carvings you experienced during your own childhood. These are our top three fall festivals in Kent County, listed in alphabetical order...

Corn Maze Fun Park

Fifer Orchards, September 24-October 31

The Corn Maze Fun Park at Fifer Orchards offers activities and excitement for the whole family. The festival’s main event is the 6-acre Peanuts-themed corn maze, which you can see from above from the observation deck. Games and activities abound, including pumpkin painting, a mini straw maze, rubber ducky races, pedal tractors, and much more. On Saturdays, check out hayrides, tractor train rides, a farm animal exhibit, pony rides, face painting, local food vendors, and live music.

Delmarva Folk Festival

Delaware Friends of Folk, September 22-23

This music festival offers camping for the whole weekend, plus a variety of activities for kids and adults to explore. Several folk bands will perform throughout the weekend, and the kids will stay busy with face painting, tie-dye, a kid’s music show, and more. Plenty of local vendors will be on site selling their wares. If you want to support the folk music scene in Kent County, this is a festival you won’t want to miss!

Harvest Moon Festival

Coverdale Farm Preserve, October 7-8

Food trucks, live music, and hayrides abound at this fun family festival. Explore the farm’s pumpkin patch and vegetable garden, trek through the corn maze, and grab a crisp and refreshing glass of apple cider at the Cider Press. You’ll get a close-up look at the farm’s sheep, hens, and pigs that are sure to delight the little ones, and a variety of children’s activities will be offered throughout the weekend.
