Last year Subaru announced a brand new edition to their vehicle lineup, the three-row Ascent! The family hauler was a huge hit thanks to its massive amount of passenger and cargo space, high-tech features, and Subaru's renowned all-wheel-drive system. Following the enormous success, it's first year the Ascent is now back for its second year with the 2020 model. This year the Subaru Ascent features four trim well-equipped trim levels. To learn what each trim level has to offer, keep reading down below as we break it all down. Ascent: Every Subaru Ascent is powered by the same powerful 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER 4-cylinder engine which all come standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive so you can have confidence driving in any weather condition. The base Ascent model comes standard with second- and third-row bench seats which can comfortably fit up to eight people plus all their gear.  The Ascent boasts 47.5 cubic feet of cargo volume when the third-row seats are folded down and 86.5 cubic feet when the second-row seats are folded down. The cargo space is further expanded with the standard cargo-area underfloor storage tray which allows you to safely stow valuables out of sight. The seats of the base model Ascent are wrapped in cloth upholstery, and an ivory carbon fiber-patterned interior accent is found on the door trims.  The base model Ascent also boasts plenty of high-tech features which include a STARLINK 6.5-inch multimedia plus display, a 6-speaker sound system, tri-zone climate control, EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, a backup camera, and a 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat. You'll also find 19 cupholders throughout the Ascent so everyone can have a cupholder or two to themselves. Ascent Premium: Next up in the Ascent model lineup is the Premium model which builds upon the base model equipment list. The Premium model upgrades to stain-resistant cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, body-color folding side mirrors, 4G LTW Wi-Fi capability, dual front and second-row USB ports, second-row climate controls, a larger 8-inch touchscreen, windshield wiper de-icer, blind-spot detection with lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Ascent Limited: Moving on down the model lineup you'll find the Limited model which comes with even more creature comforts. With the Limited model you'll discover heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable driver and front-passenger seats, leather-trimmed upholstery, ivory leather interior accent trim on the dash and doors, a power rear gate with height memory function, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, extra USB ports, high beam assist, and second-row sunshades.  Ascent Touring: Last up is the Ascent Touring model which comes the most comprehensively equipped out of the entire model lineup. Inside the Touring model, you'll find second-row captain's chairs which reduces seating to seven but allows for easy pass-through between the second and third rows. The Touring model also comes with an 180-degree front-view monitor, a Harman Kardon Quantum Surround Sound system, navigation, 120-volt power outlet, wood grain-patterned accent trim, and ventilated front seats.
