Top Dog Friendly Cars

Brought to you by Winner Subaru

One of the first things to know about Subaru is the fact that they love dogs. Actually, they have an entire month dedicated to pets, which is a part of Subaru Loves Pets. This is an entire movement helmed by Subaru that works hard to donate money to local pet organizations, and to even help get dogs adopted. Even without looking at a single Subaru, it should be more than clear that this is an automotive brand that cares deeply about man's best friend. Here at Winner Subaru, we work with Subaru Loves Pets and help contribute to local pet shelters in order to further help the Dover, Delaware area. But beyond just the charity work, Subaru vehicles give your pets the safety and comfort they need to ride along with you. Keep reading as we go through some of the top reasons to get the most dog-friendly cars around--Subarus.

Subaru and the Center for Pet Safety

Back in 2018, Subaru and the Center for Pet Safety came together to raise awareness as to the best and safest places to keep your pet in a three-row SUV. This was done to make sure that pets were traveling safely, even in these large vehicles. They ended up determining that the safest way for a 20-pound dog, or lower, to be situated, was either in a harness, or secured in carriers in the second-row. They also came to find that larger pets, who weigh more than 20-pounds, should be secured in the third-row bench seating. It is important to never put your pet on the floor of the second row of seating. Along with this study, Subaru had recently introduced the Subaru Ascent. Thanks to these tips, the Subaru Ascent is a great option for you and your best friend.

The Subaru Outback

Beyond the Subaru Ascent, another great option for your dog is the Subaru Outback. This SUV wagon gives you the sort of room that you need when you're going out on your next hiking adventure. Thanks to the large backseat, it will be easier than ever to properly secure your pet to make sure that neither you, or your dog, is in any danger. The Outback is also relatively low to the ground, which means that getting in and out is easy, even as they get older. Beyond that Subaru offers seat covers and even pet barriers, with the Outback, to make the experience more enjoyable, especially with all of the dog hair flying around. Your dog will thank you for getting the Outback!
